Love how it goes towards the outside of the car after the impact, they remind me of over protective dogs - ‘Noo! I must protect my owner (or, driver in this case).
nice to see, meets and cruises is more complicated (dad Diesel dad rules) but always nice to know it exists, already send request…
Look at the slowmo at 0:46. You can see the car flexing when it absorbs the impact of the crash. It looks like it’s made out of rubber.
Another positive point for me is that it isn’t brought to a standstill by the obstacle. The crumple zones guide the car away from the obstacle while slowing it down. This means there’s a great chance you could have an accident like that and have no injuries at all.
If you see other crashes Volvo are the only cars how do that.
Would love to use this car for Burnout, you’d get mad aftertouch ;)
“Hey, the air cond still works!”
really cool how the car keeps on going even though its had a major crash
Very few cars actually keep going forward in that style after the small overlap crash. Those are some massively tough reinforcements they put in there! The chance of injury is brilliantly low for today’s standards!! Well done Volvo! Tesla, your turn!!
wow
Strap a Nokia 3310 to the front and you get the worlds strongest battering ram

For a small overlap test, that isn’t THAT bad.
that thing is so massive that i wouldn’t be surprized it broke tha wall
That’s a hideous performance.
you might aswell be seated on the bonnet, damage would be the same.
someone will need a new arm if they are going to crash like that
Wow, it almost looks comfortable.
right up until u hit the next obstacle at speed with no vision, no control and only half the airbags
Just tanks…
Oh look you are from Portugal as well! Here have this facebook group of Portugues CTzens, so we can start organizing meets and cruises.
