Koenigsegg Just Wrote An Awesome Middle Finger To The Hypercar Holy Trinity
It’s easy to see why everyone’s getting excited about the Holy Trinity of hypercars being brought together. Here we have the most exclusive cars on Earth made by three of the greatest manufacturers around. They provide an awesome snapshot of where the pinnacle of the automotive world is right now, but there’s one manufacturer that reckons they don’t provide the whole story.
Koenigsegg has just written a brilliant blog post, in which it applauds the efforts of Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche, but wants to let any concerned customers know that its cars are actually faster.
By taking official manufacturer statistics for the 0-186mph (0-300kph) run, Koenigsegg wants it to be known that the One:1 is more than three seconds faster than the LaFerrari, the fastest Holy Trinty car, to that magic number. In fact, it had already managed to undercut the Italian hypercar’s sprint time in 2011 with the Agera R.
While the reason Koenigsegg is probably overlooked is because the Holy Trinity were all constructed at around the same time to provide direct competition to each other, Koenigsegg makes a fair point: it was already making cars like this years ago.

It is not involved because we know it would be faster… A lot faster. The main discussion was between these three
It’s also a test typically reserved for hybrid supercars, to see which company integrated the technology the best. Until Koeniggsegg makes a hybrid car like these, it’s stuck competing with combustion engine cars like Pagani, Lamborghini, and Bugatti.
koenigsegg regera
Said it a long time ago, they are comparing the trio to see who takes second place, because the one:1 is obviously better.
The One:1 is going to be P1 beating the P1
I Think you cant compare these cars with koenigseggs. Ferrari and mclaren and porsche Just are not in swedish company performance range. I Think only other company like koenigseggs is Pagani
What’s sad is that if you search for the koenigsegg one:1 on YouTube, there isn’t a single review on it such as something Chris Harris would do. The only proper reviews these cars have gotten were by top gear and that was for the agera
It is quite ridiculously rare though. And 4 of them are in China, and the other in Sweden.
I remember EVO Magazine testing Koenigseggs a couple of times. If you didn’t know about that magazine, then I highly recommend you to have a look at them, they’re one of the only magazines which are truly aimed at petrolheads. Chris Harris used to work for them too.
We all knew from time that Koenigseggs break 400km/h while these cars can’t reach 375. The Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren are great cars but its true that Koenigseggs are highly underrated. I think the reason for this is because those are established companies that have been around for decades and they are marketing experts while Koenigsegg is a smaller company that has been around for around just 20 years and is still struggling to find the same traction that the other three companies enjoy. To most non- car people the name Koenigsegg is not known while the other three obviously are but with a few things like their appearance in the Need For Speed movie and games, their appearance in Fast Five and Mayweather’s purchase of the CCXR Trevita this could be slowly changing. It just shows that in human nature most people only tend to care about what’s already at the top and what their friends are talking about making it next to impossible for the small start-ups to get noticed. Hopefully their cars can be more appreciated though. The three main manufacturers are large companies with high budgets, hundreds(or thousands) of employees, over 50 years of experience and are from countries where this level of engineering is expected so of course they will produce proper super/ hypercars. Koenigsegg manages to do a lot more with less as they have been around for 22 years, have 22 employees and lower budgets yet they are always a step ahead. I mean look at the One:1 it has free- valve technology instead of camshafts, wheels made entirely from carbon fiber and the next car Regera has no transmission and still does 0-400k in 20 seconds no problem. They are the first to do all that and the other companies will wait years before they can see themselves doing that however the new Mustang Shelby GT350R just copied the CF rims but other than that their engineering is insane. The other three cars are great but the point is that if people learned to appreciate things for how good they are and not just for being popular or being around for a long time the Swedish manufacturer would be more appreciated.
I think Koenigsegg were excluded because they don’t have a hybrid hypercar that is in production. We all know that the Regera will wipe the floor with the Trinity hypercars but it’s not in production yet.
Koenigsegg make cars that are always a class above hypercar levels. The Agera One:1 and Regera are just 2 of their latest examples.
The reason Koenigsegg isn’t included in the group is because we already know it’s already the best. Everyone else is just fighting for second place.
Why is no one bringing up the fact that the Trinity are all hybrids whereas the Koenigsegg Agera RS, Agera R, and One:1 are not? I think that is the main reason they were excluded from this comparison.
The Regera is a hybrid.
Why is no one bringing up the prius then?
Koenigsegg and Pagani are the best automakers.
