A Lego Caterham Seven Is On The Way And It's Going To Be Awesome
If you’ve the time, garage space and a wicked arsenal of tools, you can buy a Caterham Seven in kit form and build it up from scratch. The trouble is, not many people have the time, garage space and wicked arsenal of tools, so what’s the solution? Build this Lego version instead.
Well, not quite this one, as it - and the examples below - are prototypes, but the design reached the all-important 10,000 vote threshold on the Lego Ideas system, which means it was passed to a special review team within the Lego company. The design - which is the work of Lego builder Carl Greatrix - has been approved, so the Seven will indeed be immortalised in a proper, commercially available Lego set.
The product is still in the development phase, so it’s not known exactly how it’ll look, which pieces it’ll use and how much it’ll set you back. But whatever the final looks and costs, we reckon we’ll want one pretty badly…
