Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris And Rory Reid Are Now Top Gear's Main Presenters

The BBC announcing that Matt LeBlanc “will return to host Top Gear” comes as no surprise whatsoever. The Corporation had pretty much already said that was the plan post-Evans, but what is interesting is what the press release goes on to say. Specifically, this bit: “LeBlanc will be joined by Chris Harris and Rory Reid with regular appearances from Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz and The Stig.”

What we’re taking this to mean is that Harris and Reid will at last be full-time cast members, and will be in every episode, with Jordan and Schmitz enjoying more sporadic appearances.

With Harris and Reid arguably being the strongest pair of the new line-up - while Jordan and Schmitz have appeared to struggle on camera - this is jolly good news.

The show will return to BBC Two next year with series 24.

How it should’ve been since the start! Might actually watch the rest of this series.
