The New 605bhp Hennessey Velociraptor Will Do 0-60mph In 4.2sec
The old V8-powered Ford F-150 Raptor may have been a victim of downsizing, but fear not, as Texan tuner Hennessey has cooked something up that might make you forget about the drop in displacement and cylinders. It’s the latest Velociraptor 600, and it’s rather powerful.
Based on the new 3.5-litre V6 Ecoboost-powered Raptor, it’s had a new pair of higher flowing turbochargers fitted, along with a less restrictive intake system and a better intercooler. As a result, power has increased from 450bhp to 605bhp, while torque has jumped from 510lb ft to 622lb ft. It’ll now do 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds, slightly faster than the previous Coyote V8-powered Velociraptor.
Tempted? You’re looking at $22,500 for the whole kit, including fitting. If you fancy spending a little extra, an additional $12,995 bags you an off-road package including 20-inch wheels, chunky 35 inch Toyo off-road tyres, an array of LED lights plus various other rough and ready bits and pieces.
Just 100 examples will be made for the 2017 model year, so it’ll be an exclusive slice of pickup truck madness.

MERICA!!! They hate us cause they ain’t us!
When hennessey made a v6 faster than their v8……..
Is available with upto 700 bhp if ur into that sorta power in a truck
4.2 seconds? That’s beyond good and evil. The Ferrari F40, one of the fastest cars in the days, needed 4.6 seconds to 100 km/h. I mean, what is that thing even? A crew cab pickup truck, chunky offroad tyres, the aerodynamics of a cupboard and a turbocharged V6 - 0.4 seconds quicker than an F40.
~120hp + and AWD do wonders
At least Doug demuro’s car will be fast
Hammond will be saved on time now
Range rover svr can do it in 4.2 hardly impressive
The Raptor also weighs about 1,000 pounds more
Nice to see Car Throttle shilling for a scam artist Matt Robinson

Off road package and 20 inch wheels aren’t supposed to be used in the same sentence
Wait!? Is that $22.500 for tuned truck or the tunning said truck?
