The New 605bhp Hennessey Velociraptor Will Do 0-60mph In 4.2sec
The old V8-powered Ford F-150 Raptor may have been a victim of downsizing, but fear not, as Texan tuner Hennessey has cooked something up that might make you forget about the drop in displacement and cylinders. It’s the latest Velociraptor 600, and it’s rather powerful.
Based on the new 3.5-litre V6 Ecoboost-powered Raptor, it’s had a new pair of higher flowing turbochargers fitted, along with a less restrictive intake system and a better intercooler. As a result, power has increased from 450bhp to 605bhp, while torque has jumped from 510lb ft to 622lb ft. It’ll now do 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds, slightly faster than the previous Coyote V8-powered Velociraptor.
Tempted? You’re looking at $22,500 for the whole kit, including fitting. If you fancy spending a little extra, an additional $12,995 bags you an off-road package including 20-inch wheels, chunky 35 inch Toyo off-road tyres, an array of LED lights plus various other rough and ready bits and pieces.
Just 100 examples will be made for the 2017 model year, so it’ll be an exclusive slice of pickup truck madness.

Badass! Merica FTW!!!
This i weird. For the first time in my life i am truley proud of the cars my country is making.
Last report was 6.2 not 5.0 (coyote)
the 5.0 coyote was never in the raptor.
I swear this website doesn’t know things about cars sometimes
Just a note, the previous Raptor and Hennessey Velociraptor used the SVT 6.2L V8, not the 5.0 Coyote V8
Too bad it’s Hennessey. History of ** quality and customer service.
