Now's Your Chance To Buy A Box-Fresh Mk1 Mazda MX-5 With 300 Genuine Miles
If you click on this eBay link right now, you’ll find a 1990 Mk1 Mazda MX-5 with a starting bid of $13,000. That’s damn expensive for car like this, and the reason for the inflated price is simple: it’s box-fresh with only 300 miles on the clock, which means that this dry-stored MX-5 could be the cleanest example in the world…
According to the seller, it’s a one-owner car, has never seen the rain, and apparently, has never had its hood up. Now I’m not sure that this last bit is a true selling point, but just imagine the feeling you’ll get when you know that you’d be the first one to pop the MX-5’s roof cherry.
I’ll be watching this auction (ending Monday) with interest. How much do you think it’ll go for?
Shout out to Jesus Garcia for the tip!

If it’s so original I hope whoever buys it keeps it stock, it might be priceless one day. Reminds me of a blue R34 GTR I saw advertised earlier this year. Somehow it’d been kept in storage and still had plastic on the seats, less than 100km on the clock. I think it might’ve been a V-Spec II as well but I can’t remember.
Never had its hood up? Shows picture on ebay with the hood up. exhale
They meant the roof.
So does it have rust? It’s got to have a little patina to be that expensive.
Rust?
Imagine if the boys from Roadkill, Haggard Garage and MCM got their hands on this
Wait… are you saying that Phil is getting a new brother?
13, 000 IMO is actually cheap for 300 mile car from the 90s
If I bought this I would probably still keep it dry stored and just let the value rise even more haha
