Let’s say you’ve just come into some money. Just about six figures, in fact, and you’ve understandably taken the decision to blow the lot on a car. You want something German. Something a bit special with a track bias, looks so sharp you could cut yourself and performance. Lots of performance.

Chris Harris is your guide in this difficult choice. In his latest video in between series of Top Gear he pits the Mercedes-AMG GT R against the BMW M4 GTS and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Quite the line-up, and you’ll be pleased to read that it’s quite the fight. Sit back and enjoy.

Going around a corner in a bmw and not indicating classic.

The AMG GTR has set records on the ring with a 7:11 time. Is the UK able to get rid of their (BMW and) Porsche bias? Mercedes is the F1 champion and they are the one to beat …

Thing is, the AMG GTR was developed as an obvious response to its Porsche counterpart. Like it or not but in this segment we’re talking about Porsche is always te reference.

Out of these, I’d definitely have the Porsche. But to be completely honest, I’d have a 570S over all of these.
