Rejoice: The Dodge Hellcat V8 Is Now Available As A Crate Engine
Ladies and gentlemen, let us present the Holy Grail of crate engines. That’s right, Dodge’s 6.2-litre supercharged ‘Hellcat’ HEMI V8 can now be bought in crate form, making its 697bhp (707hp) brawn available for the maddest of project car builds.
It’s called the Hellcrate (obviously), and it’s yours for $19,530. You’re probably going to want the Engine Kit (below) on top of that, which will set you back $2195. It includes a powertrain control module, engine wiring harness, an accelerator pedal, various sensors and a fuel pump control module.
The Hellcrate - which has a muscular 650lb ft torque figure to go along with its 697bhp - has a three year, unlimited-mileage warranty from Mopar to complete a worry-free, shouty V8 package. In terms of transmissions, Dodge recommends the engine is hooked up to a six-speed Tremec Magnum manual gearbox.
So the question is, what would you stick a Hellcrate engine in? Comment below with your ideas…

PUT IT IN CAR THROTTELS PHILL
Who wants to bet in formula drift next year at least one car (most likely in the silvia family) will sport a hellcat V8?
A hellcrate in an old charger would be awesome.

There’s a hellcrate in a superbird
Would this fit in Phil?
Make a hellcat type r with the hellcat in the front and the type r in the back
Would stick it in this, only way to get above 270hp is by ditching the supercharger for a turbo, now I don’t have to! Just have to find the room to fit a supercharged V8 and a new gearbox and I should be good!
I have many questions, but the most important one is: Will this fit in my E36…
More fire burning hell!!
One question.
