Rejoice: The Dodge Hellcat V8 Is Now Available As A Crate Engine
Ladies and gentlemen, let us present the Holy Grail of crate engines. That’s right, Dodge’s 6.2-litre supercharged ‘Hellcat’ HEMI V8 can now be bought in crate form, making its 697bhp (707hp) brawn available for the maddest of project car builds.
It’s called the Hellcrate (obviously), and it’s yours for $19,530. You’re probably going to want the Engine Kit (below) on top of that, which will set you back $2195. It includes a powertrain control module, engine wiring harness, an accelerator pedal, various sensors and a fuel pump control module.
The Hellcrate - which has a muscular 650lb ft torque figure to go along with its 697bhp - has a three year, unlimited-mileage warranty from Mopar to complete a worry-free, shouty V8 package. In terms of transmissions, Dodge recommends the engine is hooked up to a six-speed Tremec Magnum manual gearbox.
So the question is, what would you stick a Hellcrate engine in? Comment below with your ideas…

Gotta buy my self an RX7
Build a bike frame around it, one wheel in the front and one in the back and your set!
Though I imagine you might have trouble straddling your legs around it. Might have to be more a scooter design. Like a Honda ruckus hellcat
I like the name.

I’ll have one for my Fiat Seicento please.
