Sauber's 2015 Formula 1 Car Is Blue, And That Makes Us Happy
The last few Sauber F1 cars have sported dull, grey colour schemes. We were starting to worry that the new car would be of a similar aesthetic persuasion; the succession of grey and silver cars launched for 2015 thus far made us wonder if half the grid would end up colourless. Thankfully, Sauber has gone for an all-new look for the 2015 season.
The C34 was unveiled on Friday morning, showing off a new blue and yellow livery. This is thanks to GP2 front-runner Felipe Nasr bringing a new sponsor - Banco do Brasil - to the team.
2014 Caterham rookie Marcus Ericsson completes Sauber’s fresh driver line-up. Ferrari, the Swiss outfit’s power unit supplier, also launched its 2015 car on Friday.
Sauber suffered a woeful 2014 season, finishing 10th in the constructors’ standings after failing to score a point.
The new colour scheme is certainly bright and stands out from the rest of the grid, although the design is a tad uninspiring. Come on Sauber, you can do better than that!
