Going to side with sr20de/t highly tunable, but still gives quite the punch when stock(breaks driveshafts from my own experience) And for money you just don’t get more than with this engine.

Certainly not the best 4 cylinder engine but what about the H22 motor from Honda?

I prefer 5 or more cylinders…
But if I have to pick a 4 cylinder, B230FT. Never driven a car with one, but I want one. Many say it’s one of Volvo’s best engines.
Lol BMW S14 out of bmw e30 by far the best engine.
