US Alfa Sales Went Up Over 2000% In 2017, But Don't Be Fooled By The Big Number
Your eyes do not deceive you: Alfa Romeo’s US sales really did go up by well over 2000 per cent in 2017. Or to put it another way, they grew nearly 23-fold relative to 2016. But as was the case with the 843 per cent February 2016/February 2017 growth we looked at early last year, it’s not that simple.
It’s down to the fact that last year, Alfa only sold the ultra-niche 4C in the USA, of which it shifted just 528. Now, the company has been bolstered by the release of the more mainstream Giulia and Stelvio, and as a result, sales have jumped to around 12,000, Bloomberg reports.
So it’s not time to break out the prosecco just yet, given the way the percentage has been skewed by the new models. Bloomberg’s figures give the Giulia, for instance, just a 2.5 per cent market share in the hard-fought compact exec market, showing that Alfa Romeo remains a rather leftfield choice in the country.

Got to drive a Giulia TI Q4 back in November of last year, and it is the best car I have ever gotten to drive! I wish I had the money to buy one.
I still see more Maseratis than Alfas though.
