Watch A Teenager Stop To Help An Injured Cop, Before Realising It's Her Dad

This is the terrifying moment Sgt. Kerstan Tatro was seriously injured during a routine traffic stop.

The Florida cop had stopped a driver for travelling at 65mph in a 35mph zone, and noticed that she appeared to be slurring her words. When Tatro spotted the driver put the car in gear, he attempted to grab the keys. The car accelerated with the officer’s arm trapped inside, before he was thrown to the tarmac.

Passers by rushed to help, with two drivers taking off in pursuit of the offending vehicle. Tatro can be heard on his radio reporting that he has been hit and has a ‘severely broken’ arm. By coincidence, Tatro’s daughter is one of the first on the scene, and the distraught teenager has to be comforted by other drivers.

Sun Motors reports that cops traced the driver and arrested her. She will face trial for drug-related charges later this month.
