Watch The Terrifying Moment This Rescuer Is Swept Away During A Flash Flood

Heavy rainfall in the south west of America has led to widespread flooding. The video above was recorded on Interstate 15 in Nevada, where part of the roadway collapsed following the deluge.

A trucker recorded the terrifying moment an elderly couple’s car was pulled into the current, with the pair still inside. Police officers and roadside workers can be seen rushing to the couple’s aid. One rescuer loses their footing, and is washed over a ledge as the shocked onlookers stand by helpless.

Fortunately, and somewhat incredibly, everyone survived. Inside the car was Loren and Margie Miller, who were on their way to visit their son. Mrs. Miller was rescued by a policeman after opening her door and falling into the torrent, while Mr. Miller climbed onto the roof. Construction workers on the bridge above him threw down a rope and pulled him to safety.
