Fantastic combination of a skilled driver and an immaculate car. ‘Hurde-durdy-durr Muscle cars can’t turn’, where’s your god now JDM fanboys? A 60-year-old car just blew past 911’s, Cayman Gt4’s, 993’s and a goddamn race-spec Ferrari 360CS.
Chris Evans puked at least 3 times watching this.
Does anyone know why he left foot brakes on the straights??? I assumed it was to check the brakes are working but i think he does it way to often
Now that guy knows how to keep the car in check!
The older Mustangs came with a leaf spring live axle from factory, mostly without limited slip of any type too, so to see this car behave a bit different from what Id expect through flat corners (hes easily catching those slides, and the cornering speeds are significantly higher, almost up there with those Porsches) makes me wonder whats been done to the rear suspension, granted thats probably a Jericho transmission (tight ratios makes for better cornering at specific speeds) I`d imagine that going IRS on a Live rear axle suspension is against the rules, so maybe they kept the leaf springs, added a limited slip diff, adjustable shocks, a couple of bottom trailing arms and a lateral rod?
American cars can’t what?
Big ups to the driver, that was impressive driving.
Brutal american power <3
Tons of very good cars, so I might guess it’s because driver knows his stuff a little bit better than the others, or…there might have been some vehicles with the technical errors that might have stopped him from getting to the first place, who knows, many possibilities are included.
Cool thing is that they kept the glove box with Shelby signature.
Why is he tapping the brakes while accelerating before braking for the curves? Is he pre-heating the brakes?
Obviously James May was driving.
