This Is What The Koenigsegg Regera Sounds Like At 217mph
The Swedish supercar builder has released this footage showing the Regera's unconventional, gearbox-less powertrain making loud noises as it goes from 30mph up to the equivalent of 217mph
While the One:1 is the Koenigsegg that tends to be grabbing most of the headlines right now, it looks decidedly ordinary compared to the Regera. As if building a car that produces 1782bhp from the combination of electric motors and a 5.0-litre twin-turbo wasn’t enough in the madness stakes, the Regera sends the engine’s power directly to the wheels via a hydraulic coupling, negating the need for a gearbox.
