Why Driving Slowly In The Passing Lane Is Stupid And Dangerous
Driving slowly in the left lane actually causes more accidents than people who drive over the prescribed speed limit. Here's why people need to stop doing it!
WORSE are the idiots that tailgate you if you are behind a slower car. And they can see that my car is much, much faster! My brakes are much better too …
Slow drivers in the fast lane? Time to be an Audi driver.
Passing lane? In live in America
This is why I have a full size truck. People tend to move out or the way if they see me coming up behind them.
Hmm..something I’ve been saying all along just so happens to be true…imagine that.
Very true Alex
It’s even worse with James May at the wheel
Its not because in eu people are FROM EU. Thats the way we are taught on out driving lessons and we actually pay attention to our surroundings.
Passing line hogger are the most frustrating people ever. Its so f*n annoying when you start to overtake a long line of cars, doing like 10-20kph more, and then some idiot decides, he needs to drive on the left lane and does the same speed as the rest of the cars. And you get stuck and are forced to miss the ramp! Why dont those idiots ever learn to drive.
So I live in California. Most of the freeways that I live close to have a speed limit of 65MPH. I typically drive anywhere between 70 and 75MPH. This speed is already about 5 to 10MPH slower than the average speed of traffic. That’s right! A lot of people drive between 80 and 85MPH as their average speed. To add to this, the main freeway that I take has a ramp on it about every two minutes. Each of these ramps is usually loaded with traffic. So heres the thing, I hog the middle lane going 70 to 75MPH. I can get pulled over for going 75, and therefore don’t want to drive any faster than that. I also don’t want to give up the middle lane because in less than two minutes I will have to merge back into it, and by the time I attempt to do so, there will be cars in my way. Also, the rightmost lane is full of semi trucks whose speed limit is 55MPH and have an average speed of 60MPH. So if I was to not hog the middle lane, I would have to move over every two minutes for a ramp, and maybe two to three more times in between those two minutes for semi trucks. Call me crazy, but that sounds like a lot of lane switching. So taking all that into account, am I a bad driver? I think the funnies part about all this is that the minute a highway patrol is spotted, all traffic slows down to about 70MPH. So was the problem my driving, or the fact that others were speeding?
