YouTube Star Gaskings Has Been Sentenced To 5 Years Of Jail After Million-Dollar Scam
After six weeks of trial, famous British YouTuber Anthony Locke, better known as Gaskings, has been sentenced to five years of jail for scamming £999,266 from pensioners.
According to Southwark Crown Court, Locke (32) and his partner Ray King (54) scammed 16 pensioners of almost £1,000,000. He is charged for 23 counts of fraud by false representation and three counts of money laundering. Ray King, who apparently only had an assisting role, was charged for 14 counts of fraud by false representation and given a 3 year prison sentence.
Gasking’s money laundering scheme consisted of pensioners signing up to a website, created by Locke, and investing their pension funds. It was claimed that in return they would get back at least half of their contribution, and the other half would be invested into various eco-friendly firms, which later turned out to also have been faked.
"Locke was the architect of a callous and sophisticated fraud with King as his employee. Between September 2013 and April 2014 Locke obtained almost £1 million from various pension companies, which represented the ‘pension pots’ of the victims in this case." said Investigating Officer Paul Sullivan.
Locke spent the nearly 1 million pounds on expensive supercars (two Audis, a Mercedes, an Aston Martin Vantage, a Porsche 911 and a Lamborghini Gallardo), extravagant holidays and gambling.
At the time of writing, the Gaskings YouTube channel boasts an impressive 687,218 subscribers - which is especially surprising considering how much of a “bad reputation” this channel has amongst car guys. His most viewed video has unbelievable 7,734,263 clicks, and the channel has 190,733,158 clicks in total. Locke also has a secondary channel called Gaskingsvlogs, with an additional 4,559 subscribers and 55,451 total views. His latest - and probably last - upload on his main channel was on March 9th 2018, which fits in with the time frame of the court trial.
What do you think of Gasking’s imprisonment? Comment down below - but please do me a favor and try to stay somewhat objective!

It’s not even April 1st. This seems too crazy to be true, but at the same time, it doesn’t surprise me one bit.
I heard about it when a YT video about this popped up in my recommendations, and I also first thought it was an April fools prank… But after doing some research I found out that apparently it’s not! I’m not surprised either, I always thought it was a bit odd that he stepped up from a f*cked up 5-Series to a brand new GT-R (even with all that YouTube money)…
I just hope the police don’t send the cars to the scrapyard.
Apart from that, f* them.
Oof
Wait a second, how did you post in News? I thought only staff could post here?
Still have some old drafts laying around from the time we were allowed to post here… Although I’m about to run out of them, so it would be great if we could finally post here again CarThrottle AdnanEbrahim ;)
Why does he look like a harrier version of Walter White from breaking bad?
