The 10 Most Reliable Cars You Can (probably) Buy

DISCLAIMER: This blog post is inspired by an article. Just saying.

#blogpost So…here we have the age old question, what are the most reliable cars out there? Well today, I’m gonna list the 10 statistically reliable cars available in the UK (article was by a UK based company). Just to summarise, Lexus dominates the list with 5 of the 10 cars here. Without further a do, let’s get going

1. Lexus RX Mk3

A car with a tagline being “Luxury Crossover SUV” sounds sketchy, as the concept of a crossover isn’t often associated with reliability, but the brute RX defies all that. The RX with a 3.5 V6 produces 295bhp, and it’s hybrid cousin takes the number up to 308. The car is provided with a 8 speed automatic, further adding to it’s reliability (no hate). Despite the RX having a very complex hybrid system, it’s still the most reliable car in the UK.

2. Lexus IS Mk3

Continuing the trend of Japanese reliability, the IS makes it’s way into the number spot. The sport sedan which is competition for the Audi A4 and BMW 3 series, certainly holds no bars in terms of reliability, having no diesel, no half-hearted estate version and no manual. It’s bold exterior houses an extremely well crafted and comfy interior, with the petrol-hybrid IS300h variant provides an efficient and able car for road trips.

3. Toyota Land Cruiser Mk7

This thing is the car version of the big bully who troubles kids. Anyway, the rugged and rigid off-roader, although doesn’t really have the most advanced technology, it has proven tech which guarantees the Land Cruiser’s position as an excellent off-roader, it might not be the greatest car on tarmac but as the brilliant BlackPanthaa once said: USE OFF ROAD CARS OFF ROAD. Onwards.

4. Lexus GS Mk4

Another Lexy making it’s mark, but this time it’s the subsequently more luxurious brother of the IS. Rivalling the BMW 5 series and Mercedes E Class, the GS is more focused on being ‘posh’ and luxurious than being a sporty beast. Having an extremely plush interior, the GS also offers a highly efficient hybrid powertrain, and if you want POWAAAAAAA, Lexus offers a 5 litre V8 as well.

5. Tesla Model S

A personal favourite, the Model S hops into number 5 at the reliability chart. Having all the new age jazz like autopilot, the Tesla also is extremely reliable. It’s 397kW battery (Ludicrous) produces a whopping 562bhp while the motor produces 762bhp. Electrifying

6. Subaru Forester Mk4

Similar to the Land Cruiser, but not meant for off-roading and being smaller, the Forester makes it’s way into the reliability list. Being practical, rugged and having excellent AWD capabilities, the Subie ticks all the boxes for reliability. Great as a family car; also has good all-round performance. Although not the most thrilling to drive, the Forester will reassure you of all durability issues.

7. Honda Civic Mk9

Along with a divisive design and excellent power, the Civic also is extremely reliable. The Civic is Honda’s best selling compact hatchback and has been around in successive generations since 1972, making it a trusted package for chavs, ricers, tuners and college students alike. Jokes apart, the Civic proves a point here.

8. Skoda Citigo

Being the only European car in this list, the rebadged Up! and fairly naive Skoda Citigo proves that it’s got more than it’s mainstream appearance by coming 8th in the most reliable cars of the UK. It’s been rated the best city car by quite a few magazines and websites, chiefly due to it’s reliability and low price. Also having a city safe mode, the Citigo assures it’s reliability

9. Lexus NX

The smaller sister of the RX and the 4th Lexus in this list, makes it’s way at number 9. We know that the sisters share bold styling cues, comfort-focused handling, luxuriously appointed interiors and a well-stocked standard spec sheet. Now, reliability is another similarity. Coming with a 2 litre turbo or 2.5 litre hybrid-gasoline version, the NX offers a great ride.
Final Car now (hint: Lexus)

10. Lexus CT

As the CT takes the last spot, Lexus has got
A) Half of the 10 most reliable cars
B) Most Reliable Car in Every Class
C) Every ‘mainstream’ car in the reliability list.
Despite having a firm ride and a cramped cabin, the Lexus offers top-end reliability.

Now if you want reliability, you know what car to buy.
Anyway, a different type of blog post experimented by me today, hope you like it.!!!
