6 Types Of Muscle Car Guys

One: Track Day Guy

Track day guy is all about racing, track racing that is. Their favorite cars are probably the Camaro Z/28 and the Mustang GT350. They can usually be seen at SCCA autocross events, track days and sometimes country back roads with lots of curves. Their favorite racing series is Trans Am racing and they mod their tires and suspension more than their engine. They love manual transmissions and are probably secret European and/or Japanese car enthusiasts.

Two: Drag Racing Guy

For some muscle car enthusiasts, their second home is the drag strip. They love powerful engines and fast acceleration. Whether it’s doing 60 rolls on the highway or weekend bracket racing, they’re itching to lay down some times. They lean towards automatics because they often remove human error and slowness which leads to more consistent and faster quarter mile times. Something on their bucket list is to have a car that runs into the 9’s and participate in Hot Rod Drag Week, the ultimate street car shootout.

Three: Cruiser Guy

While most muscle car guys are out revving the pee out of their cars, some people just want to cruise. Comfort, style and attitude is the name of the game here. They probably spend as much time washing and detailing their car as they do driving it. Expect to see them at car shows and country back roads going low and slow.

Four: Classic Muscle Car Guy

For these people, only a classic will do. Their garage is filled full of vehicles that are at least 25 years old, and chances are they have a carburetor. They would rather buy a restored first generation Camaro than a brand new Camaro. They could be a track racer, drag racer or a cruiser, as long as it’s in a classic. For them, things get better with age.

Five: Diehard Brand Loyalty Guy

Whether it’s Ford, Chevy or Dodge, these guys like one brand and one brand only. Their Facebook page is likely full of memes poking fun at opposing manufacturers and they’d “rather eat dirt than drive a (insert other car maker here).” Their love for their adored brand is understandable, but they should learn to chill out every now and then. Besides, if you only date redheads, you could be missing out on some great blondes.

Six: Truck Guy

If it’s a truck, then truck guy likes it. Kind of like classic muscle car guy except with trucks. They may like autocross, drag racing or cruising as long as it’s in a truck. They may even like 4x4 trucks and off roading too.
