10 Reasons why the Ford Mustang is underrated #blogpost

Hello and welcome to my first ever blog post, but before we begin, I just want to let you know that you might expect either some poorly written part or incorrect information, because I am clearly a noob to blog posts. Anyway, this one is going to cover one of my favorite series of cars, the Ford Mustang.

1) THEY HAVE ALOT OF HORSES INSIDE

One obvious reason for this is that Mustangs are packed with a big 5.0l Coyote V8 (Premium Package). Which pumps out roughly 435HP. The V6 Automatic Mustang may not seem to be as good as the V8 version, but on the other hand, the manual version has a lighter gearbox, will make a powerful enough first car to enjoy in. Not to mention that V6 goodness has a good tunability, which leads us to the next point.

2) THEY ARE TUNABLE

Believe it or not, USDMs such as Mustangs, Challengers,… are as good as JDMs when it comes to tuning. You may heard about a super-charged Shelby GT-500 or a drag 1998 Mustang, but there’s more. You see, they make great project car. Sure, modifying or fixing a modern day Mustang requires tons of tools, even laptops may evolved, but once you finish the job, you will feel like a Petrolhead genius. Also, examples of tuned performance Mustangs are Vaugh Gittin Jr’s Ford Mustang RTR and Ken Block’s Hoonicorn, two best American tire slayers in my opinion.

3) THEY SOUND GOOOOOOD !

Imagine being waken up in at 3 AM in the morning by that rumble of the N/A V8 in idle along with some small rev, I wouldn’t be mad over that sexy sound. Those roar of a classic American V8 that you don’t get so often anymore, those screams are made from dyno runs or burnouts sounds magnificent. Also, when you feel like adding one or two turbo or a super-charger, the sound of a rumble V8 along with the whistling comes out is something comes from the heaven. Basically, you just made ear porn.

4) SEXY BODY WORKS

Would you just look at that 350R’s gorgeous face ? Or maybe some classic Mustang rear ? Ford made a big improvement in the body work of modern Mustangs. They went from kinda boxy-looking 2005 cars to sexy curves, and those curves aren’t just for look, looks goes along with functionality, those curves are now giving Mustangs more aerodynamic efficiency. And those front grill now alow more air to go to the engine, giving it more air to burn.

5) THEY ARE REALLY FUN TO DRIVE

As good as it is as a first car, beginner drivers are not the only one to be impressed with the amount of torque given by the legendary Coyote engine or the performance figure of Mustangs. Some veteran drivers themselves are surprised by how Mustangs like to go fast, especially in a straight line. Sure, they don’t corner that well, but with some brakes or suspention mod, you will have a machine that can both corner well and keep you happy for years.

6) EVEN LIGHTER THAN A GTR

Yes, you read that right, a Mustang, or to be specific, a Shelby 350R are actually lighter than a R35 GTR, the curb weight of an average manual Shelby 350 R is 1658 kilograms while the R35 GTR weights 1740 kilograms dry, thats makes the Shelby weights 82 kilograms (180,8 pounds) less than a GTR. Looks like the GTR’s AWD system might have give it some extra weight. And the Shelby, with more light weight component and a frickin carbon rim, is sure more agile than a GTR.

7) QUALITY BUILT INTERIOR

After reading some other blog post of other CTzens about comparing Muscles and JDMs, I have came to conclusion that the Mustangs interior looks better than the GTR’s interior and also lighter (I’m so sorry GTR), just look at the GTR’s interior below and compare, you will be the judge.

In fact, while the GTR is comes with standard lightweight components like Carbon fiber, alcantara, etc. The new Mustangs have all of them, and even more, they even have cup holders ! According to the fact above, a GT 350R is lighter than a GTR, even with more components in the interior than a GTR. so in conclusion, the Mustangs gives you more bang for your bucks.

8) ONE OF THE THREE ICONS OF AMERICA

An icon of the land of freedom, along side with their brothers, Camaro and Challenger. Ford themselves and the Mustangs takes the leadership role is this legendary trio. When you notice a Mustang, the first thing that will ever come to your mind is realizing that is an American car. The mustangs has symbolize the Muscle car industry since the first day of birth, thanks to the production of the Mustang, Chevy and Dodge has joined the rivalry of three best muscle car, thus, born the American Muscle industry. Even better, when you paint this trio in order of Red, White, and Blue, you will get something that represent their country in the most American way as possible.

9) FAMOUS IN EVERY PLACES IT APPEARS

From the silver screen to the social media, Mustangs are known best in their role as the main character’s car in movies. Some of honorable mentions are Tobey Marshall’s 2014 custom Mustang Street Racer or Steve McQueen’s getaway 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback.

They are also famous on social media in both good way and bad way, the good way it is known is a hero of drag strips, Los Angeles hooner, smoke making machine, or LS swapped mosters. And the bad way it is known is as crowd controller. Either way, I love the fact that the Mustangs are famous in every where they appears and how they are always the hero’s car.

10) MUSTANGS HAVE GREAT LEGACY

Since the first ever Mustang to roll out from the factory, Ford never cease to create one of the best ever name in the US. Unlike Chevy, who ended the Camaro’s production in 2002 but then returned in 2009, Ford releases new model of mustangs yearly since 1964 to ensure the legacy continues to the present day. Ford made improvement to their engine and bodywork every time a new model is releases, Mustangs evolves both outside and inside, from true classic body work in 1960s with big ol’ American V8 to the boxy-looking cars which uses V6 in 1980s all the way until present day, where they enter the best era of Mustang. And today, we have the best Mustangs ever built.

Thankyou so much for spending time reading this whole blog post. As said in the begining, this is my first ever blog post, so I’m truly sorry if i made any grammatical error or if i wrote any information wrong throughout this whole blog post. tbh the interior quality is still bad; both the GTR and the Mustang have a bad plastic interior. The Mustangs one looks newer, yes, but it is not comparable to a upper class sedan at any level

With point #3 I also hope my neighbors feel that way because to keep mine in a steady idle and not stall I have to open the up throttle which is kind of loud in the morning
