Same year as my Impreza… Only mines sh!t. Just kidding. It’s getting built into a rally car soon anyways.

Oh my god can I have it right now? One of the best looking Subaru’s of all time. I’d kill to have one of these. Too bad the first year of the STi was 2004 in the US. Here, if you want the look of a classic late 90’s impreza, you have to swap a base 2.5rs with a WRX engine or an STi engine. It can be done, and indeed a lot of people do it, but I still wish the real thing was sold here. People who do the swap call their cars an RS-TI.

Thanks very much. I am really proud of this car and I was lucky to find it.

Sounds like a lot of effort goes into an ‘RS-TI’ with the engine swaps etc… That’s a labour of love from the enthusiasts and makes them just as cool if not more so than my Type R imo! Bet they are a rare sight…

How many different types of 2 door Impreza are there? I was only aware of the 22B, and recently the Prodrive P1.

The type r was the original 2 door classic scoob, the 22b and p1 were based on the type r… Then there were v limited type r models, 1000 cars made a year. Version 5 and 6 v limited had a little plaque on the centre console saying number x of 1000 like the p1 had.
