Why Need For Speed 2015 could have been much better

This is going to be a blogpost showing what could have been better about the latest Need For Speed game, and what could possibly have gone wrong. This post is based on opinion, feel free to comment yours below. Let’s get started:

1: It's already getting old

Back in the late 2015, we were all so excited about the new NFS game, EA promised us a lot of modification options, Cars and much more. When we finally got the game, some noticed how there were a few Cars that didn’t really have alot of modification options, while there are only a very few Cars that have fully customisable exterior. This was obviously far from what EA promised us with the trailer they released at the earlier Development stages of the game.

The reason the game is getting old, would be because of the game still being kind of unfinished for some players.

2: No more updates

The game got its last update (1.08) some months ago, it included speedlists, and some more. Other updates have even included cars, like the hotrods, and the 2017 Nissan GT-R. They were the only cars that were added to the game in updates, other updates included more modification options, drag races and more. It’s a bit of a pity for most players that the game isn’t gonna be updated anymore, with more updates who knows, it could have had alot of potential, it can still be a good game when you think about it though.

There is still a reason why the game hasn’t gotten more updates though, it has been confirmed that EA is working on a new 2017 Need For Speed game.

3: The map could have been better

When people were new to this game, the map seemed very big. But when you complete the game after some time, some may notice that it can feel a bit small. Even all the long highways can feel short when driving a modified supercar. The drag races have too many bends as well.

The point is, that it can fell small after playing the game for some time, especially over a year.

4: The car list is getting a bit boring

For new players, the car list may seem quite big. But for the players who have had the game for some time, it feels quite small. Lack of Audi cars, newer VW cars, more Mercedes cars, and maybe even some non-M BMW cars. And many more, of course alot of people are happy with the cars that are already in the game, but some just aren’t.

The point is that the list can get boring and short quickly for most players.

5: The driving feels unrealistic

The car can start sliding without the player asking for it, and you have to press some buttons the make a handbrake drift. Alot of players may find this to be easy, but some won’t like it. Need For Speed 2015 may not be known for its driving physics but that doesn’t make it a bad game at all.

The point is that the physics in the game could be better.

6: Limited modification options

EA promised alot of Customization options for various cars, however, it’s only a few cheaper cars that have alot of customisable parts. While alot of the expensive supercars only have bodykit and paint options.

The point is that the game doesn’t have the options we were promised in the trailers.

Yes, i agree! I bought it a couple of days after launch. Completed it and then well, the updates game I had something to do but know, nothing. If u buy a car its really like 1 bodykit and thats it. Look at the f40, (i know ferrari is horrible with custimizing there cars in games) but its the LM kit and thats really it. And in the end i went and replayed NFS Most Wanted 2005 and carbon

I completely agree with you, the map i don’t know how but feels smaller than the UG2 map, it also needs more car brands in the game, also the thing of the car sliding just when you turn is very annoying, and the customization was very limited. Hopefully EA and Ghost do a better job on 2017

I like the game, and think the game is in the right direction for the franchise. but I felt like the game is abandon or got left too early.

The map had so much potential for expansion.
NFS 2 (2017) will be my solidifying last hope for this franchise’s newer games.
Not good enough, then it can be forgotten. And this comes from a player with low expectations.

I agree with a lot of that, but the customization is still really good, and this game was testing the waters for what works and doesn’t work
