2.0 tfsi coil pack conversion, the standard 1.8t coils are not hot enough. A decent tune also, as the vw spec motor has a downgrading ecu over the higher spec audi motors
It’s an excellent little engine and will run amazing for a long time if maintained properly. With just a few basic bolt ons and a tune it becomes an incredibly responsive engine with a ton of tourque. On my personal car I have an Intake, Turbo-Back Exhaust, 4 Bar Fuel Pressure Regulator, Diverter Valve, and Revo Technik Stage 2 Tune. Its a great canyon car setup . Biggest downfall of the 1.8T is the tiny K03 turbo which is great for tourque but runs out of puff in the high RPM’s. A Garrett GT28 will make a 1.8T a true monster.
Nice. How do you feel about the larger k04 turbo? I’m adding that shortly and building my own custom 3” exhaust.

Do you have any suggestions on remapping services or possibly software? When I worked on Hondas I always used K-Pro tuning software. Is there a VW-compatable equivalent?
