5 Of The Most Successful Rally Cars Ever

1. Lancia Delta Integrale

Where do i start. 6 Consecutive world titles, 5 European titles, 7 Italian titles the list goes on.

2. Mg Metro 6R4

Potentially one of the cars you didn’t think about when considering what cars could be on this list. The 6R4 didn’t have much success on the world scene but after Group B was banned the 6R4 was still able to compete but with a reduced engine size. This resulted in multiple national championships with drivers like Jimmy Mcrae, Tony Pond, Steven Sofroniou, John Price for example. The car today is still winning rallies and championships. One such example fitted with a millington engine won the MSA National Tarmac championship in 2014

3. Ford Escort MK1 and MK2

This is an easy one. The Ford Escort could be the most successful rally car ever. The Escort has been winning rallies for over 45 years and there is no signs of it stopping any time soon

4. Subaru Impreza

Another easy one. From a humble clubman spec car to world rally car examples the Impreza has been winning ever since its introduction. Today if you go to a rally you more than likely to see multiple examples being rallied. With 3 world titles to its name it is a worthy car to this list.

You have the audi Quattro, for making awd standard in rally.
The 205 T16 for winning the group b and Dakar rallies.
There are no Evos as well.
