It has been made to compete with both the Supra and the Skyline GT-R, unfortunately for mitsubishi, they couldn’t get to the same level of the japanese icons. However, it is still a great car, and if I’m not mistaken it also featured an intelligent 4 wheel steering system to enable the 3000GT to turn better, being an AWD vehicle.

It did indeed! Its biggest downfall was all the electrical systems, which often failed and were VERY costly to replace. It was brilliant when it worked though, it’s essentially the Nissan GT-R of the previous generation.

That’s probably because it was easily one of the most unreliable Japanese cars of it’s time. And it wasn’t really as good as the Supra/Skyline despite all of it’s tech. It would have been an awesome car if it held up a bit better.
