Cheapest cars in the world (i hope you read that in Clarkson's voice)
When you hear word combination cheap+car you think of Volkswagen Up or Ford Ka, but after this post you’ll think of them as luxury cars. Ofcourse these cannot be found in europe or imported cause they have zero safety and in a crash passengers and the driver would be dead (except the winner), but they are the cheapest cars IN THE WORLD.
CHERRY QQ - 4500 euros or 4700 dollars
‘’But but, that’s a Daewoo Matiz’’ Yes, i know it looks just like a Daewoo Matiz, it’s a chinese car and what chinese manufacturers do (especially car manufacturers) they copied the design and that’s why GM was sueing them 6 years ago, but thats a different story for a different day.
The Chery QQ3 is a city car produced by the Chinese manufacturer Chery Automobile since 2003. Until 2006, the car was known as the Chery QQ, it was renamed when Chery launched their new supermini, the Chery QQ6. It is sometimes difficult to discern if a mention of the Chery QQ refers to the entire QQ-branded product line, which comprises four models, or solely the QQ3, the original QQ mini car.
The QQ is available with two gasoline-powered engines (both EURO III compliant):
0.8 L DOHC 12V I3 — 38 kW (51 hp) at 6,000 rpm, 70 N·m (52 lb·ft) at 3,500 rpm
1.1 L SOHC 16V I4 — 38.5 kW (52 hp) at 5,300 rpm, 83 N·m (61 lb·ft) at 3,000 rpm
1.1 L DOHC 16V I4 — 50 kW (67 hp) at 6,000 rpm, 90 N·m (66 lb·ft) at 3,500 rpm
TATA NANO - 3000 dollars (you knew this car will be on this list)
It’s rear engined so basically a 911, this car was designed to lure India’s burgeoning middle classes away from motorcycles, it received much publicity
The Tata Nano is a city car manufactured by Tata Motors. Made and sold in India, the Nano was initially launched with a price of one lakh rupees or ₹100,000 (US$1,500), which has increased with time. It is being produced since 2008. Since the 2015 may Tata GenX Nano is being produced, and it is replacing the original Nano, but not yet.
The Nano (2012) is a 38 PS (28 kW; 37 hp) car with a two-cylinder 624 cc rear engine (GenX too)
The car complies with Bharat Stage 4 Indian Emissions Standards, which are roughly equivalent to Euro 4.
Bajaj Qute or Bajaj RE60 - 680 euros (No that’s not a typo)
Okay, yes its a road legal four-wheeler, but still it looks like a car, has 5 gears and reverse and you can get it for a price of one night in Paris hotel.
Bajaj Qute is a four-wheeler, yet not a car. It comes under a whole new category — the quadricycle. Quadricycles are European categories of four-wheeled microcars defined by limitations in terms of weight, power and speed. It weighs under 450 kg, that is, 37% lighter than the smallest car in the market. Being light in weight also makes it an energy efficient vehicle.
Like a car, it is spacious and has an enclosed body structure, giving the driver and passengers a comfortable and safe ride. Also, it has adequate space for luggage and runs at optimum restricted city speed, which provides safety for all.
Bajaj Qute, initially called the RE60, meets the European Standards and Guidelines of Quadricycle for quality and design. Its high-end technology equips it to run at a restricted speed of 70 km/h, while utilizing fuel as little as 1 liter for 36 km.
Qute sits on a water-cooled Digital Tri-Spark ignition 4-valve engine and a closed loop fuel injection system. This helps it in delivering high performance in power and control.
Engine:
• Engine: 216.6cc CNG and LPG variants available
• Peak Power: 13.2 PS • Max Speed: 70 km/h
Capacity
• Passenger: 1D + 3
• Storage: Front: 60 Liters • Center: 95 Liters • Rear: 44 Liters
The Bajaj isn’t allowed in India by it being ‘’bad at safety’’, but really its because of competition, so #FreeTheQute
I hope you enjoyed this post, so comment what do you think about these vehicles, also i was quite tired when making this post so sorry about bad english(if there is any)
