I’m not sure about valve exhaust, but what I did was just a muffler delete on mine and it sounds orgasmic.
I figured I’ll also try deleting or drilling mine. After all you can get a second hand replacement one for around £40-50 so if I won’t like the sound I can revert to stock

Have you though about getting an “Electric Cutout”? You can have it installed right before the muffler and with a push of a button the valve opens and bypasses the muffler for a great sounding exhaust note. Then, simply push the button again and you’re back to a nice quiet ride. I had two of them installed on my b6 S4 (because dual exhaust) and I absolutely loved it. If you do go that route, don’t buy a cheap electric cutout.
