VW decided to build the Bugatti Veyron instead of this car: The Volkswagen W12 coupe. *read below*

The Volkswagen W12 coupe was first unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2001. It was powered by a W12 engine, which was put together by two VR6 engines and had 600hp (7000rpm/min), making the sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3,4 seconds. The concept car made many world records, for example 7085 km (about 4402 miles) in 24 hours and one year later 7749 km (about 4815 miles) in 24 hours, just to name two of many other records. Volkswagen said, that the W12 coupe should had emotionalised the Car brand, and it could have: With a height of just 1,10 meters, a smooth- faced body and forward opening gullwing doors, the car would have been in the same class as Ferrari. Another great thing about the car was the glass roof, which extended from the back of the car to the end of the roof. Actually the car should have gone into series, but it remained by just a few cars and Volkswagen decided to build the Bugatti Veyron instead of the W12 coupe. However, the Veyron had many technology components of the W12 coupe, like for example the W- engine type, which was also used in the Phaeton and Touareg, just with less horsepower (420hp for the Phaeton and 450hp for the Touareg). Well, the car looks pretty nice and I think Volkswagen should had built this instead of the Veyron, or maybe both, but after all, it was still a very nice concept which was actually built and tested and it was still used as “predecessor” for the fastest car in the world (back in 2005)

That´s it, I hope you liked my text about the epic Volkswagen W12 coupe! Thanks for reading!
