Why Mustangs crash:

The answer is simple, almost intuitive really… Bad drivers. That’s it, nothing more.

However, there is a deeper more interesting issue surrounding the Mustang than the countless crashes: The propaganda war.

That’s right, I said propaganda people, get your tinfoil hats out folks! There is a clearly deliberate effort on the part of automotive journalists the world over to disenfranchise the Mustangs. Intentional marginalization.

Why?

Beats me. But I have my theories. Chief among them is the threat they (Mustangs) pose to literally every other performance car out there. Assuming you have no intention of going on a legitimate Rally Stage any time soon there are few other cars that can cover all the bases whilst also offering an affordable price tag. They are PROVEN drift missiles, drag racers, GT circuit racers, road warriors, Show cars, etc. Truly a jack of all trades if there ever was one.

So what’s the problem with them?

There isn’t one, that is the point. It provokes the deepest recesses of our subconscious ego to go into defense mode. Like how we saw the straight A student, who is also the quarterback of the football team, prom king, student body president, and Valedictorian. Everybody HATES that guy ( I know I did in High School.)

However there is a paradox there, if everybody hates that guy why is he so popular and successful?
Well… We have a word for that.

Envy…..

So are people just jealous they don’t have a Mustang themselves? No absolutely not, that would be a naive thing to say, and frankly that would sound a lot like an excuse or a copout.

So if it’s not jealousy, why then is there such a deliberate effort to ensure everybody hates the Mustang on the part of otherwise respectable journalistic outlets?

Well… It would seem to me the best way to eliminate a threat is to marginalize it, disenfranchise it, convince people to disavow it based on slander. The reslut of this sort of rhetoric is abhorrent, and has been repeated countless times throughout history, so much so there is a word for it. Propaganda.

The short answer (as it appears to me anyway) is that the automotive world is threatened by the sheer, undeniable greatness of the late model Mustangs. So much so there is campaign of disenfranchisement in place.

That’s just a theory of course… And i’m just another butthurt Mustang driver and/or fanboy who can’t take a joke right?

Well… It’s really hard for me to be butthurt when my car looks like this:

SO WHY THEN WRITE A BOO-HOO BLOG ABOUT THE MUSTANG?!

That’s an easy one….. You haters are missing out, and I pity you.

Said by a Mustang owner himself, ThatDudeinBlue said that Mustang crashes occur so frequently because the Mustang has such a high amount of horsepower and is easily acquirable by many. And when many un-experienced drivers can get a ton of HP so easily, there are bound to be accidents. Mustang crashes have and will happen for years. It’s just that now, the same way people hate the Prius, the mainstream takes it and makes it a joke. A dead, useless, and un-funny joke.

The S197 (the one’s that always crash) have just 300hp… That is not all that much for a car that weighs plus or minus 3500 lbs.

It is simply bad driving. Just as there are different nuances to driving an AWD car than to a FWD so is true for driving a RWD car with a solid axle and one with IRS .

No excuses. It’s bad driving and nothing else.

Wrong, the problem is at the poorly distributed weight, the open diff, short wheelbase, and solid axle.

Lol someone is butthurt… the Mustang is pretty cool, but it’s suspension is nothing special. Journalists are not deliberately degrading the ‘stang; it’s simply a joke and nothing more

Yes, they have limited slips now but up until recently they you could still buy them open and what I said there makes it harder to control, I agree that human error is involved but car design flaw is too

From 2005 onward all the GT models came as standard with limited slip differentials. Get your facts straight.

Only the V6 didn’t have it
