#LED License Plate Lights vs Incandescent
Some of you may remember the LED license plate lights that I installed in the #Focus in 2016, of which can be found here. This review is on a 2006 Cadillac CTS, a friend’s daily driver.
This is the start to a full LED conversion that is planned for the CTS. The lights are 6,000K ultra white, and are also a good bit brighter than the stock oem incandescent bulbs all while taking up one fifth of the wattage.
If you have a CTS, or are interested in LED conversions in general, stay tuned for more upgrades The full LED conversion for my own daily driver 2009 Ford #Focus can be found here.

Every time I hear the world incandescent
I don’t actually know what that is from.
Lumens everywhere! What about trying to put LEDs on the door sill light?
I don’t have a door sill light on the Focus. He does, and I already have bulbs ordered for it.
Nothing makea a car look instantly newer than modern lighting (though I’m loving the Amber accents lights all over my LS 430 but that is a product of it’s generation)
Newer cars with incandescents though… easiest and best visual mod
It’s true, it can easily make a ten year old vehicle look only a few years old. However, my other older vehicles don’t get LEDs as bright white doesn’t suit them.
Gonna have to agree there. I wouldn’t be able to replace the amber lights from like a CVPI to switch backs LEDs or something like that, because the headlight configuration of it is so iconic. first thing you always see on a Crown Vic are their amber lights, and that I wouldn’t change ever.
We all know the winner #LED
Always!
Another Ontarian, for the win! Intriguing set up of the lights. May look into it as mine are on its last legs.
They’re pretty good looking, much more modern.
