Underrated luxury: A blog about the Volkswagen Phaeton #blogpost
What if I told you that you can get a Bentley Continental for as little as $ 14,995? The Volkswagen Phaeton is a handcrafted luxury car at a pretty cheap price as used. However, it did not sell well due to it’s A8, 7-Series and S- Class rivals, and buyers seemed to overlook the Phaeton. And later Volkswagen decided to stop production of the Phaeton flagship which wasn’t long ago. The Phaeton (Type 3D) was offered with five petrol engines (V6 to W12) and four diesels (V6 TDI to V10 TDI) but the V10 TDI was dropped in 2006 four years after the introduction because the emissions were to high. Since 2009 V10 TDI owners had to install a diesel particulate filter to reduce the emissions. Note: The concept car (Concept D) was first introduced at Frankfurt Motorshow 1999

This is better! Great job!
Thank you
I wouldn’t mind have a Phaeton. The problem is, that I can’t find them anywhere near where I live.
Awh, but I hope you’ll find one. One day there might be a good one for sale
I love this car a lot. I’d love to have it. It’s such a shame they no longer make it.
Agreed, but if you want one that’s almost new you can buy a fresh low mileage 2015 one
Type 3D you say?
haha
I did not think the phaeton was interesting, but the first time I saw one, a pre-facelift w12 I fell in love with it. An in fact my dad came close to buying it but he didn’t agree with the owners price.
thanks for sharing your opinion
Pretty awesome car, my mum used to own the facelifted model from 2010, it was a V6 TDI with 240 HP not that much for a 2.2 tonnes car but it wasn’t as slow as you might spect. Best car we ever had, relaible as hell
That’s awesome!
hands clapping
Thank you!
Absolute beauty!
