1983 Mitsubishi Lancer "Boxtype" GT
Restored this period correct classic at RPM Autoworks from scratch and added a little personal touch underneath the hood with a sick turbo charger.
Restoring this car took awhile (Say a year and a half?) because the parts are really hard to come by. Interior parts are really hard to find because everyone else is looking for it as well and hide it forever. Luckily, our buddies from RPM Autoworks knows a lot of people that sells car parts specifically for this model.
We bought the car really beaten up and rusty. She used to be white and covered in rust, which is why the build took a lot of time than we expected it to be. We also had a bit of trouble with the turbo pipings before as well, but in the end, we manage to find a way to fit it all in there and now it looks sick.
The only concerns I have with her right now is that whenever I use the car to break in the turbo, the temperature goes really high. The temperature spikes up every time I turn on the air conditioning system of the car and from where I come from, air conditioning is REALLY important because its REALLY hot in here. So whenever I use the car, I have to turn the A/C on and off to save the car from overheating.
I honestly can’t find the problem with that one. So…. Help. She’s is still a working progress.

Is it also a GT? Go for it, dude! 4G63 is a powerful engine in a small body! Sleeper!
