1998 Honda Prelude 5th Gen SiR

Hey guys,

So here is my Prelude, I absolutely love it. Been driving this car for 2 years now, it was stock when I bought it so I added a few mods ;) Hope you enjoy !

Châssis

  • Bilstein B6 + Eibach -30mm
  • Bridgestone Potenza RE002
  • EnergySuspension bushings everywhere
  • Front upper strut bar “no-name”

Motor

  • Swap H22a JDM
  • Red matte valve cover made by me
  • Simota air intake
  • PLM TriY H22 Header
  • SRS decat
  • Custom made 304 stainless steel piping (2.5”) and resonator
  • MagnaFlow 14805 muffler
  • Side branch resonator is a Helmholtz resonator that I made(it totally kills drone in the car :D )

Exterior

  • OEM Style lips (front/rear/side skirts)
  • Tainted windows
  • Trailer hitch for bike rack (I’m a mountainbiker)

Interior

  • Black leather seats
  • Civic EP2 Steering wheel
  • Auditor Speakers
  • Autoradio Pioneer X560BT

Depends your age and experience…
But I’m living in southern France so it might be different than you?
I pay around 1k€ per year for full insurance, but only got 20% bonus since I’ve been driving for 4 years (in France you get 5% discount every year)

Used to have a ‘97. Surprisingly fun cars and the H22 is a good motor aside from burning oil like she does.

Yes, if well maintained it can go easily over 300, 000km :)
people are often surprised when they drive it ^^
