The kings of custom builds - Lowriders

You may have seen some insanely clean custom builds based on modern/classic muscle-cars or JDM cars, but Lowrider-guys take it to another level. Here´s why!

Paintjobs

Like it or not, Lowrider-paintjobs are more work than you would expect. Starting from sweet candy-chrome color up to insane handmade pinstriping and detail work on the coating, they get it done.

Interior

You can ride in the fanciest benz on earth, but in the end, what counts is your interior. Why? Well, while driving you don´t see your front bumper shining in the sun, you sit behind the steering wheel with the eyes on the road. You feel your car, starting from your hands on the wheel down to the feet on the pedals. Lowriders usually come in a beautiful, high-quality interior, which will make you smile when even looking at it. You get great high-class materials on your seats, steering wheel, instruments - in every angle. You don´t want a hundret buttons on your steering-wheel or call someone on a big-a$$ computer in the middle of the dashboard. The interior is clean, everything looks like it came straight out the assembly-plant.

Suspension and other Mechanics & Electronics

We all know Lowriders as old school Muscle-Cars with hydraulic suspension, which makes them hop around. Ever wondered how it works? I explain the basics. Most Lowriders have 4 electronic pumps in the trunk. The pumps can add or release pressure from the hydraulic cylinders. Have a look at the image above, it´s actually simple. You start the whole process when you hit the switches. This way, you can lift up or lower your car. It looks cool, but it affords a lot of work, knowledge and skills to build a lowrider, starting from main body frame-works to glass, electronics, and even devoloping of custom parts.

This is a trunk of a 62 Chevrolet impala convertible. You see the hydraulic-pumps with all those details on it. Fantastic.
Here´s another one.

This one is not as good-looking as the other one, but this is where all the juice comes from, 12 batteries.

The Engine - No Plastic, Chrome & Quality

Open up the hood of any other new car, I think there is not really anything to add at this point.

The Wheels

There are a lot of cool stock rims on the market today, Ford for example has some great designers and of course Asanti or Vossen Rims look great, but tell me - how deep must your love to a car be, that you polish all the spokes every sunday?
