BMW will make a BRAND NEW version of the S85 engine confirmed + next BMW M4/M3 revealed WITHOUT camo!

BMW forum memmbers have been visiting the BMW factories, and they have confirmed that the next M5 will have a V10 going by the engine code of S86B55 meaning its a 5.5L V10. The next M5 will also be available with the choice of either xDrive or RWD, the S86 will have 630 hp/800 nm and will have a centrifugal supercharger according to the forum post. It will be based on the old S85 engine but have even lighter internals and engine block, and the next gen M3/M4 will have an engine based on this one like the S65.

The new S86 is said to have a bonkers redline of 9000 rpm. It will make the new M5 accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, which is as fast as the new TT RS. Dinan is also said to make loads of stroker kits for it.

The S68B47 engine in the new M4/M3 will be based on the S86 featuring the same bore x stroke, block and head material. It will be naturally aspirated and have up to 530 hp and 580 nm of torque. The redline with also be 9000 rpm, it will have RWD and a 0-100 time of 3.7 seconds. BMW is also giving the finger to downsizing!
