V12 e39 anyone?

Here is something interesting. The company Martin Veyhle Racing (MVR) apparently decided to stroke the M73 V12 normally found into an e38/e31 750/850 to 6.1 liters and stuff it into an e39. As the brochure says only 20 of these were ever made. The information on those is quite scarce, so if anyone knows more about them, please share.

Just like an E39 M5 in terms of performance but twice the price to maintain ;)

I would think that this should have quite a lot more torque than the M5 and you’re wrong about the maintenance - this engine would be way cheaper than the S62 to maintain.

Is that an earlier or later V12, I know the earlier one was 2 inline 6s? My friend has an early one, his (I believe the year is) 1991 750il.

This story reminds me of the secret Seven project that was known as the “Goldfish”.
