Why the Dodge Charger Hellcat is better than the Cadillcac CTS-V #blogpost 500 follower special.

In the modern sport sedan scene, there are two major candidates from good ol’ ‘Murica that deserve your consideration. The Dodge Charger Hellcat, and the Cadillac CTS-V. Both make well over 600 HP, and both have fairly comfortable interiors. But here are my reasons as to why I like the Hellcat better, and why it is a superior vehicle overall.

POWAAAHHH!

The CTS-V has 640 HP, and the Hellcat has 707 as you well know. Both have a hard time using all that power though, so the power numbers are just there for bragging rights. It’s so you can walk into the bar or country club and say “My sedan makes 707 HP, what about YOURS?” And it also makes for amazing burnouts.

Performance

So, now for the performance numbers. First, 0-60. Despite both cars being well over 2 tons, and both being severely undertired, both manage to rip off a 0-60 run of just 3.7 seconds. However, at the end of a 1/4 mile run, the Hellcat has a .5 second and 4 MPH lead over the CTS-V. Nuff said, Hellcat trumps. No election day pun intended…

Price

And here comes my strongest point. The Hellcat is $20k cheaper than the CTS-V. For that much extra, you could buy a truck and trailer to take it to the strip. And with basically identical performance, an extra $20 grand gets you a nicer interior and a Cadillac badge. Not the best deal in the world if you ask me.

This blog was written to celebrate me getting to 500 followers, thank you guys, and I’ll see you at 600!

I don’t know man…the CTS-V weighs about 430 pounds less despite being a luxury car, and it has a supercharged LT4, so not only is it easier to work on with tons of aftermarket support, you can increase the supercharger boost and easily match or even make more power than the Hellcat. Both are still just as badass though. I’d personally go with a Chevrolet SS.

But for the price difference, you can have a HUGE headstart price-wise over the CTS-V for mods

But in my opinion, the CTS-V looks much better, is a better handling vehicle around a track. And this is irrelevant because the ATS-V exists. :D
