Perfect way to launch fwd

Hey CTzens, I have a low powered front wheel drive hatchback and i want to know how i can improve my 0-100 times.
What’s the best way to launch a fwd car for better acceleration? Are there any simple mods i can do to improve it further?

Your main problem is grip, so get a set of good tires. Also best launches are when you’re getting 5-10% wheelspin, practice that. Try to put your car on a diet aswell.

Maruti Suzuki 800/Suzuki Mehran/Suzuki Maruti/Suzuki Alto. It’s a 1998 model.

Lightening it will obviously improve the off the line performance, obviously something small like that, is it fuel injected or carb?

if its a manual, you’ll want to launch by holding at around 3k rpm, then skillfully (not just drop) release the clutch and increase throttle at the same time to keep the revs at 3k rpm. once the clutch is fully released and the wheels have stopped spinning, you’ll then go throttle down as much as possible without losing grip, using the static friction to pull you along (not kinetic friction). Shift to second (do not power-shift), and allow some wheelspin until you are well into the powerband, then throttle down again as hard as possible without spinning. This all happens within one or two seconds so practice and you should get better, but don’t be too abusive to your car

if its low power just gas it, there isnt much you can do to improve the 0-100 without changing out parts, flywheel, rims, stickier tyres are an option. with small hatchbacks dont drag race them just take them around country lanes. the cars are crazy good handling due to a small chassis and have a small engine, so instead of trying to make the car perform like it has a big engine just use it for what it is.

True that, but who doesn’t like the feeling of hard acceleration? 😁

Really grippy tyres and a rev launch at about 2500-4000 RPM if its a manual if its an auto…well get a manual car
