1985 Toyota Corolla GTS AE86

Well this is my baby, a 1985 Toyota Corolla GTS AE86. Bought from California, ship to east coast of Maryland, and was supposed to be my daily driver… until I went on the INTERNET. Now, the engine is coupled with new Tomei Poncams, Injen intake, CXRacing headers, HKS HiPower exhaust, and recently Mishimoto Radiator & twin fans, dynoed 111 HP to the rear wheel; suspension revamped with TRD bushings and adjustable shocks with 6K Front springs and 5K Rear, T3 Adjustable panhard bar & RCA; entire new front end with JDM zenki bumper + lip spoiler, CF hood & headlight covers, Raybrig Headlights; others include newly-rebuilt Cusco 1.5 Way LSD in Kouki rear end, Exedy Stage 2 Clutch (a little too aggressive for my liking), T3 Shortshifter, DIY Plastidip-ed Konig 14 inch wheels + old and slidey all-season tires, DMAX roof wing, JDM Zenki tailights, rust removal from all four fenders, manual steering install and a complete Red & Black respray over the ugly and dull silver. Simply put, I love this thing to death. Makes a hell of a noise for a 31 years old car after 229,000+ miles!!

Depending on the conditions, an actual GTS is probably 4500+, I paid 5500 for the car and, well, a lot of for the mods…

Certainly is, but it’s the heart and not the cash that counts right?!

I envy you man. I’m sure it must have cost you a fortune. What was the exact cost of all this?

Not every 86 has to be a Panda and initial D replica! This is MY 86, so I went with Red and Black.
