Roll cages in Street legal cars...

Are roll cages legal in street legal cars?

I heard many mixed answers of roll cages being allowed in road legal cars,I was hoping I’d have better luck here.
I’d figure there’d be a limit to how many points the cage can have IF they are legal.

honestly i cant help you on your quest to find answers, but i can say i plan on putting a cage in my 240sx and it will be a street car. i dont see what the problem with wanting to be safer in case of an accident.

At least in my state (Michigan) they are. Police actually like caged cars because it protects vehicle occupants due to other people’s bad driving

Well, it can decrease the denting in of the body and the roof but when you roll over, your skull could hit the rollcage and crack when not wearing a helmet. Don’t know if its legal in your country tho but your own safety, either wear a helmet in da rollcage when driving hard at all times, or get a multiple pointed seatbelt and you should be good. SHOULD. Also let your rollcage be certified by the FIA so it’ll at least be a legal rollcage
