10 Worst Supercars Ever
1. Weber Faster One
From a swiss watch maker, the Weber Faster One promises over 900 hp and over 200 mph. Of course, that hasn’t happened yet. It looks like a nightmarish Tim Burton interpretation of a BMW Z4. The horror!
2. Delorean DMC-12
Now I love the Delorean, but with the looks of a supercar but the performance of an old metro. Catalytic converted models took 10 seconds to crack 60mph. And it couldn’t fly.
3. Vector M12
Pretty much a rebadged Diablo, it had the build quality of a Glastonbury tent. Also denounced by Mr. Clarkson as “the worst car in the entire world”.
4. Caparo T1
The Caparo T1 is insanely quick and it looks like a mad open wheel car, so what’s the issue? Problem is, most of the time it’s not working, preferring to be broken or substantially on fire. Or both.
5. Panther 6
This 6-wheeled monstrosity was inspired by the Tyrrell P34. The Panther had an 8.2-litre twin-turbo V8 and a claimed top speed in excess of 200mph, a claim never substantiated. Difficult to understand why.
6. Ferrari 400
The Ferrari 400, not to be confused with the amazing Ferrari 400 Superamerica of the 50’s, the 400 was a bog-awful pretend GT and the first Ferrari with an automatic box. Luckily, it never went on sale in America.
7. Aston Martin Virage
Conceived in the booming mid-80s but released in the depression of the early 1990s, the Virage was average to drive, shoddily built and, despite costing £120,000 (over or $220k in today’s money or £200k) had headlights borrowed from an Audi 200.
8. Mitsuoka Orochi
Even though James May raved about this, it was inspired by the Honda NSX but nowhere near as fast, attractive or acceptable. The Orochi gives 230bhp and resembles an aroused bottom feeder trying to suppress wind.
9. Lamborghini Jalpa
Not an awful car in its own right, but suffered from its showing as the useable, affordable alternative to the Countach. That’s like trying to make a living as a friendly, vegetarian mako shark.
10. Jaguar XJ220
Now hear me out on this one, the XJ220 is a beast of a car and I’ve seen one in real life, but there is one issue. Customers put down deposits for a 4WD V12 hypercar. They ended up with a RWD V6. Safe to say, some were a bit peeved about this.
I hope you liked this countdown in no specific order, if you disagree with any of my picks (which I would think you will) tell me what you think is the worst supercar in the world!
Comments
The 400 looks like a r31 mixed with a r32
Lol i liked the vector m12 back in gran turismo 2
Is it just me, or does the Weber look like a vertically-stretched Fisker Karma from the front, and a Toyo-baru 86 from the rear?
But, the Jalpa…. Is so pretty…
The Weber Faster One looks like a riced RX-7
Strikes me as more of a GT86 that’s riced.
My guy are you high the caparo t1 was legendary for its time
The the issue was that it was barley able to show off it’s skills because of how much it would either break down or catch fire. And no, I am not high.
Yea i know about the problems i just like it from old racing
you cant even call the dmc-12 a supercar… it has a 2.8L v6 that makes 130 horsepower… yeah its slow asf but this list is suppost to be worst SUPERcars
