1986 Volkswagen 1986 Golf MK2 GL 1.9 Diesel

My new daily ride: A Golf MK2 GL 1.9 Diesel.
Since I had to drive a lot of km’s the 106 Rallye was getting way too expensive too run…
My colleague (A massive VW Fanboy) told me to start looking for a nice Diesel to get me where I wanted, and me being a big classic car fan, the choice was easily made.
A MK2 Golf had to be bought!
So I stumbled across this MK2 ‘GL’ edition which was VW’s most luxurious edition of the standard MK2. And it happened to have a very nice 1.9 Diesel engine from a Golf MK3, sadly, without a Turbo…
But hey, it’s still better than the standard 1.6 Diesel it comes with :P
It has some welding work that needs to be done, and a little rust here and there, but apart from that it’s actually pretty good for a 30 year old car!
1000 kilometers on a full 55L tank :D
