Here's a story of one of the many #FamousRides of hot rodding, the Crusher Camaro
This car has been a part of Hot Rod magazine since 1993. The reason it’s called the Crusher Camaro is because Hot Rod saved it from the car crusher. Because of a car scrap program in California, it was being scrapped for about $1500 for smog reasons. Hot Rod wouldn’t have that so they bought it before it could meet an early demise.
Since then the Crusher Camaro has taken many forms, from a smog friendly street machine, 632ci big block, 383 small block, a 489ci big block, a 700 horsepower 427ci LS7 and most recently a supercharged 7.0 GM V8 making 700 horsepower and 770 pound feet of torque AT THE WHEELS. Not to mention the Crusher Camaro currently has a pro touring stance to it. However, you never know when the Crusher Camaro is going to take on another form.
