1990 Jaguar XJR-s 6.0

The standard XJS was never intended to replace the E-Type as a sports car, it was always a sporty GT. The XJR-s was produced by Jaguar Sport in conjunction with Tom Walkinshaw’s of TWR. The suspension was stiffened, a custom bodykit and interior upgrades were added, and the 5.3l or 6.0l V12 engine was upgraded. Mine is a pre-facelift 6.0l model, and was given a thorough restoration in 2014 with lots of welding carried out, and a full respray. The central silencer has been removed from the exhaust for a better noise too. In the future I hope to convert the car for the 3 speed auto-box to a 5 speed manual, and I am currently refurbing some quad headlamps, which will make the front end meaner. It handles surprisingly well for such a big heavy car, testament to TWRs racing know-how, and it’s effortlessly quick. I’ve had the car for 5 years now, and can’t see myself ever selling it.
