Any carburetor nerds out here? I have a question about my Saab 900 GLS
My Saab 900 GLS comes factory with twin Zenith Stromberg CD150’s. I’ve been reading around and came to the conclusion they’re not the most efficient or reliable carbs, so I’m looking into bolt-on replacements. I’ve come across information saying some SU carbs will bolt right up to the manifold and would provide more reliable tuning, more efficient running and less breaking parts. Sounds interesting to me but there’s not enough info out there for me to jump on a set of SU carbs. Can anybody provide me with more info on this subject? It seems the Zenith Stromberg to SU carb swap is pretty popular in the Triumph world..
