Any Mk3 Supra owners out there? What's your opinion on this?
I’ve been thinking of getting Mk3 Supra one day. Mk4 is my ultimate dream, but by the time I have proper money it’s probably going to be too expensive. Also the fact that you basically have to pay “f&f extra” for it is sad imo.
Anyways there are people who say mk3 is great, others say only reason people buy them is because they can’t afford mk4. So, tell me your experiences on the mk3. :)

I’d have a mk3 over the mk4. It looks better. But if you treat the mk3 like the mk4 (like a high performance sportscar), you end up with the list of problems seen above. As a GT car it’s spot on(Except for the 7M engine. it’s worth swapping it out for a 1 or 2j.) I haven’t owned one, but I have had the privilege of driving one for a few days while I was fixing it(7M headgasket issues, hurray) and it definitely felt more on the Gran Tourer side of things.

Reasons 10 to 1 are bullst, pure envyious trash talking thats for sure. These cars might have their problems but I know cars that are far worse than the MK3 supras, and I highly guess that this article was written by a bthurt musclecar fanboy who’ve been beaten up by one of those. Yes okay these cars are not the best, but they’re only considered really bad in comparison to their successor.
I love mine no matter what keyboardwarrior writes on his stupid blog.
i had an mk3 too and it was awesome!
283HP/397NM, 260HP 7M-GTE) on the wheels.. just with one modification (exhaust).
i loved it.. it has it faults but if you prepare against it everything will be fine.
Still sad that i had to sell it.. but one day i will buy a new(old) one!
dunno where you got the 3800lbs? it should be about 3500lbs and dont forget.. the mk4 is even heavier!

I don’ think any car is bad. Anyone can like a car and no car is bad. Some people might own an MK3 Supra and have a sentimental value to that car.
The mk3 supra is a good car in its own right. Swap in a 1jzgte (not a big fan of the 7m) remove all the heavy crap, beef up the suspension and steering and boom, you’ve got an epic highway bruiser.
