An authentic "2 Fast 2 Furious" Mitsubishi Evo that was used in the movie and driven by Paul Walker. Ironically it's a very quiet car in person

most cars used in film are very quiet….because its hard to get good audio of the actors dialog with a roaring V8 or a screaming Supercharger in the background…..its much easier to add any sound they want in in post production.

Good point considering this one was just used for close up shots in the movie

There is no such thing as Mitsubishi Evo. There is Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (VII in this case). The movie was used as marketing material by Mitsubishi before their entrance to US market with Evo VIII

Wow! Thank you so much man. I didn’t know that. otherwise I would have gone and mistakenly bought a Mitsubishi Evo thinking its a Lancer Evolution. I shall cancel my order now.

P.S. : This also means that the Evo X FQ-400 in my profile picture is a fake Evo X, since there’s no such thing as an Evo.

I was here for this! My car was part of the show and I spoke with the owner. He’s pretty cool guy.
For all of the non-believers, yes it’s a legit Evo 7. It’s Hero car #2 and was used for the close-up shots. By the way, I should add that this thing has less than a thousand miles on the clock.

Its not that bad. Its just the dated spoiler and the decals that make it ricey really. Without them it would look fine haha

Did anyone else notice the certificate said it was a 2003 evo7 while his poster said it was a 2001 evo7?

2003 on the certificate represented the movie - 2 Fast 2 Furious 2003 (The year it was released). 2001 on the poster represented the car - Mitsubishi Evo VII 2001 (The year of production)
