2.9l v8? Isnt that pretty small for a v8? I have never heard of a smaller displacement v8, except for the miniature YouTube engine builds.
There are smaller V8s too. Like the used in the STC2000 in Argentina. They are 2800 cc developed from 2 hayabusa engines in V. (The engine is manufactured in the UK)
